Last nights performance by Chezidek and the Tuff Sound Band got me fired up to such an extent that I just had to share it with you. Being literally the first to arrive at the venue named P60 in Amstelveen we were well in time to catch the support act, the I&I Foundation band who put the stage on fire. Their frontman made sure no one in the audience even got the slightest chance dozing off and the band treated us with some Reggae classics and contemporary pieces almost making us forget who we were here for to begin with.
After a quick band change the crowd grew bigger, filling P60’s main hall front to back, anxiously waiting for Chezidek to make his appearance. Chezidek and The Tuff Sound Band needed a couple of warm up laps before getting in sync but from there on they took no prisoners. They absolutely killed it. A performance worthy of the words “Roots Rock Reggae”. After an encore were both the audience and artist seemed reluctant to let it come to a closure, one of the sound crew members gave me the setlist which I turned into a playlist for you and you to enjoy.
Leuke zaal, P60!
Yes definitely. It has been a while since I set foot in P60. Seeing the promotional posters and photos on the walls also a very varied programme. Top it off with a great deal of restaurants/bars around. What not to like!
Such a great evening. Took me back to the time you introduced reggae into my life. A great performance and a great crowd. The second hand high from all the ganya made me flow really good with the deep sound.
Felt like the good old times. It wasn’t the smoke machine that’s for sure😂
